Every tool on this site answers a narrow question โ is the microphone receiving signal, is the right channel playing, how loud is this room. The guides below answer the next question: what the result means, and what to change. They are organised by the problem you actually have.
Diagnosing blind wastes time. Each tool runs in the browser with nothing to install, and none of them upload audio anywhere.
Start with the guide that matches your symptom rather than your device โ the symptom tells you which layer failed.
| Symptom | Check first | Then read |
|---|---|---|
| Nobody can hear me | Microphone test โ does the level meter move? | Meter moves โ app settings. Meter flat โ troubleshooting. |
| I sound muffled or distant | Record and listen back | Bluetooth quality and the recorder's diagnosis table |
| No sound from my speakers | Speaker test โ try both channels | Output device selection, then headphone test to isolate |
| Audio lags behind video | Latency test | Audio latency explained |
Every procedure here is written against current versions of Windows 11, macOS, Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari, and steps are checked on real hardware rather than copied from vendor documentation. Where a fix only works in some conditions, the guide says so. Where a symptom has no fix โ Bluetooth call quality being the clearest example โ it says that too, rather than sending you through a checklist that cannot succeed.
